About the artist

Gillian Ussher is an Irish artist living and working in Frome, Somerset, UK. Her work explores the character of animals, and their relation with people. Whether working with oil, pastel or graphite she aims for a degree of realism without compromising possibility, movement and expression. Her work has been featured in publications such as Dogs Today Magazine, Dogs Monthly, The Guardian, Talented Ladies Club and Country Living Magazine.​
